TS Optics Premium Saddle Plate for Losmandy level dovetail barsWith the quick-coupling saddle plate, you can safely attach your telescope to mounts. By areal clamping, a high clamping force is achieved. Additionally, unaesthetic pressure marks are avoided.
The short saddle plate is especially suitable for building double connections. Because of the flat support surface and the countersunk bores, the clamp can be attached to dovetail bars without any problems.
Safe and precise clampingWith the saddle plate you can attach even heavy accessories parallel to the main telescope. For example, the just 80 mm short saddle plate fits to the same dovetail bar with which the telescope is attached to the mount, or you can adapt a ball head to the saddle plate and use telephoto lenses parallel to the telescope.
No unaesthetic dentsTwo generously dimensioned areas press the dovetail bar to the other side of the saddle plate. The pressure is not concentrated on a point, but on a larger area of 29 mm width. That has a positive effect on the load capacity. Furthermore, unaesthetic pressure marks are avoided.
Extremely versatile through 7 countersunk boreholesThrough 7 countersunk bores, the saddle plate is very versatile: two M8 bores with distances of 35 mm (middle to middle), and five M6 bores in different distances lengthwise and crosswise to the middle.
You can attach this clamp to your mount, thus fitting it with a Losmandy level quick coupler. Or you attach tube rings or a camera mount to the base of the plate, enabling the use of heavy accessories parallel to your telescope.
