Superior Image Quality:
This Reducer Flattener is designed to take the optical performance of your telescope to a new level. Clarity and sharpness that bring your astronomical images to the forefront and make every detail stand out impressively.
Maximum efficiency, minimum vignetting:
Thanks to advanced technology, the X0.8 Reducer Flattener 7A minimizes annoying vignetting that can sometimes occur when using reducers. This means that your images will have even illumination and you can rely on optimal image representation without having to deal with unwanted shadows in the corners.
Easy handling, perfect result:
William Optics has placed special emphasis on user-friendliness in the development of the X0.8 Reducer Flattener 7A. With a simple installation and precise settings, handling the Reducer Flattener will be a breeze for you. Focus entirely on your astronomical discoveries and trust that your images will get the quality they deserve thanks to the Reducer.
This very high quality flattener is an FMC-coated triplet of optical glass from Ohara, Japan.
Mounting: The flattener is screwed tightly onto the thread of the focuser. Simply unscrew the colored anodized end piece as shown in the picture on the right. This end piece is used to hold a plug-in sleeve, but is no longer needed when using a flattener. Save it well in case you want to use the optics visually with a zenith mirror. The flattener can then simply be screwed into the thread of the eyepiece focuser.
A T2 thread is available for mounting the camera. If you want to use a DSLR camera, use the T2/bayonet adapter that matches your camera manufacturer. In the end, you have a firmly screwed system at your disposal: high stability and no tilting!
The flattener is adjustable. Set the correct distance and fix it with the knurled counter ring. This way, you do not need separate extension sleeves.
You can screw filters with M48 thread directly into the flattener. To do so, simply unscrew the end piece on the camera side. This frees up an M48 thread into which you can screw the filter. Now screw the flattener back together - done!
