The new ZenithStar 61 are the most versatile and lightest apos from William Optics.
The sharp image allows high magnifications for visual observation and sharp images for astrophotography or nature photography with any SLR camera. Thanks to the large field of view, the entire moon or - with a filter - the sun can be captured. A special flattener for photography is available in the accessories section.
The FPL-53 glass used in the ZenithStar 61 lens has much better dispersion properties than the FPL-51 (ED) used in the past. FPL-53 comes very close to fluorite glass in quality, but is much cheaper. Therefore, FPL-53 is also sometimes called Synthetic Fluorite.
