The APO refractor Fluorostar has a three-lens air-gap objective using the ED special glass FPL-53 from Ohara, Japan, and glass made of lanthanum. This extremely high-quality triplet construction ensures color purity and high image sharpness that leaves nothing to be desired - a true high-end telescope!
The scope of delivery includes CNC machined tube clamps and a 3" mounting plate. The 3.7" R&P extension is very solidly made. It carries heavy loads without any problems and that without any shifting. The focuser is compatible with the 3" William Optics flattener.
Bahtinov cap: The cap with this telescope not only protects the glass from the elements, but it also has one of these most useful tools when it comes to focusing. The Bahtinov Cap creates three lines that pass through a bright star. There is a main large line, and a smaller cross-section of two lines making an "X". The goal is to get the large line centered between the X and centered on the star. As soon as that is done you have perfect focus in as little as 2-3 seconds.
