The spirit level on the Seestar is built into the centre of the tripod, directly under the tripod head. This is impractical, as the Seestar is only screwed on afterwards. When screwing it in, it is very easy to misalign the balancing.
With this extended spirit level on the side of the tripod, you can conveniently leave the tripod on the Seestar and balance it directly. The extended spirit level has two vials, one for horizontal and one for vertical alignment. This allows the tripod to be perfectly levelled in both directions. Simply place the spirit level between the telescope and tripod and screw both together.
