With the combination Vixen FL55SS and the Vixen 0.79x reducer, an APO astrograph with only 239 mm focal length and a corrected image field of 44 mm is at your disposal.
Sharpness on the axis and, due to the flattener, also in the field, is excellent. The stars become smaller and sharper than with comparable telephoto lenses.
