1.25" wide angle ERFLE with 12mm focal length and 60° field of view

TS WA eyepices have good optical performance for a reasonable price.

Especially in comparison with similar eyepieces, the TS WA convince with their better off-axis quality and very good transmission by fully multi coating and blackened lens edges.

Field of application

Despite the TS WA 12mm has a short focal length, it does not need an internal barlow element. So (if necessary) it can be combined with a barlow lens without loss of quality. Transmission and off-axis-definition are better, too.

The viewing position is relatively steady - this is a further advantage of the not existing barlow element. On the other hand, the eye relief is only ca. 10mm which makes this eyepiece difficult to use for eyeglass wearers.

The TS WA 12mm is suitable for every kind of telescope - even with fast Newtonians it delivers good field definition. The high-quality multi coating and the blackened lens edges lead to a bright image with high contrast. This eyepiece is recommended for lunar and planetary observations and for Deep Sky at higher magnifications also.

Performance

The transmission of the TS WA eyepieces can be viewed best by holding them against a white surface. Any colour difference or darkening will be visible immediately. With the TS WA eyepieces, the background remains relatively bright and colour-neutral. This is not a matter of course.

Many wide angle eyepieces can only reach their field of view by distortion. The TS WA eyepieces have nearly no distortion.
