TS - Adapter T2 to EOS bayonet without optical lengthThis adapter screws directly into the Canon EOS body and enables you to connect accessories with T2 (M42x0.75) thread. The EOS bayonet is much wider than T2, so the adapter can be mounted completely into the camera body. The real optical length is 0 mm.
The adapter cannot be used with some cameras together with lenses with large diameters like the MTO1000, Rubinar 500, and Rubinar 300.
Difference between M42x1 and T2
The M42x1 thread has a pitch of 1 mm per turn while the T2 thread has a pitch of 0.75 mm per turn. They are not compatible.
Today the M42x1 thread is not common anymore in photography. However some lenses from Russia still use it.
ApplicationsOften you would like to use an Off Axis Guider behind a Flattener or would like to position a filter wheel in front of your camera. With this adapter it is no problem because its optical length is only 0 mm, contrary to other adapters with 10 mm optical length.
