TS-PHOTON 150/750 mm Advanced Newtonian for astrophotography and observation
This versatile Newtonian reflector telescope from the TS-PHOTON series captures a lot of light and provides extensive features, which you will rarely find in this price range. 150 mm aperture reveals thousands of deep-sky objects with many details. Resolve star clusters into single stars or observe details of well-known nebulae. Thanks to the high-quality parabolic primary mirror the Newtonian also reveals many details on the moon´s surface and on planets. Vor visual observing, we suggest the optional TSV235 2" 35 mm extension tube.
The advantages of the carbon composite tube: The TS-PHOTON Newtonian comes with a high-quality carbon composite tube. Beside the weight advantage of approximately 0.5 kg, the main advantage is the better stability of the focus when the temperature changes. That is imortant for astrophotography. Then the temperature falls, metal contracts and the focus moves. Readjusting the sharpness becomes necessary. This combination of tube and mirror makes readjusting the sharpness usually obsolete even for long-term exposures. The images become sharper.
Astrophotography is also possible with this telescope. The generously-rated secondary mirror offers a very good illumination. Rather than corner-vignetting the telescope shows light and information. The high-quality 2" Crayford focuser (ball bearings) accepts all common coma correctors. These features makes this telescope an ideal astrograph for astrophotography.
A superb beginner´s telescope Thanks to its convenient handling and its solid build, this PHOTON Newtonian is ideally suited for beginners. For this Newtonian telescope we recommend the Skywatcher mount EQ3 or EQ5. You find both mounts in our accessory section below. From the outset you achieve wonderful observations of moon and planets, but also of nebulae and galaxies with this telescope. Later on this Newtonian can be upgraded with accessories, such as coma correctors for astrophotography or even binoviewers. The PHOTON Newtonian fits your needs.
General information and features of TS-PHOTON Newtonian Telescopes:
Light-gathering parabolic optics with outstanding contrast and very good sharpness for planetary observation
High-quality 2" Crayford focuser for 2" and 1.25" accessories - with dual speed Focal plane position ideal for DSLR and other cameras
All common 1.25" and 2" eyepieces can be used without problems
Brighter image due to 94% reflection coating on primary and secondary mirror
Motorfocus can be upgraded later at all times.
A 0.5 mm thin secondary mirror spider made of stainless steel provides stability.
Astrophotographers will envy you for your sharp stars and needle-fine spikes. Adjustable primary mirror holder and secondary mirror holder completely made of metal.
More joy with astrophotography due to optimal field correction A good coma corrector makes this Newtonian an astrograph. We recommend the TSGPU corrector, which is perfectly adapted for this Newtonian. It will offer maximum sharpness across the whole field; the TSGPU makes this TS-PHOTON a true astrograph. An example image from our customer Francesco Fidora can be seen above in the product images section. It shows M81 and M82 as LRGB image with 20 hours integration time. Congratulations on the beautiful image!
The working distance from the M48 thread is 55 mm. With a T-ring you automatically reach the right distance for astrophotography with DSLR cameras. We can offer you suitable adaptations for your astro cameras as part of our advice service at all times.
