TS-Optics Super Plössl with 20 mm focal length

With a slightly higher magnification than the standard 25 mm eyepiece supplied with many telescopes, the Super Plössl 20 mm is a nice compromise for viewing extended objects, but in more detail than with the lower magnification eyepiece. Due to its excellent transmission the TS Super Plössl will offer a similar image brightness compared with many simple 25 mm eyepieces, despite the higher magnification.

Additionally, the field stop has no higher diameter as the illuminated area of almost any binoviewers, so there is no vignetting. In fact, all currently available astronomical binoviewers show no vignetting.

Astrophotography

High contrast and fine internal blackening make the TS Super Plössl eyepieces suitable also for astrophotography. Focal lengths up to 20 mm can be used very well in eyepiece projection adapters.

You can remove the rubber eyeguard and directly attach the optional TSO-FotoringT2. Thus you make an effective projection eyepiece with T2 connector out of every TS Super Plössl eyepiece.

By suitable adapters, you can now connect your DSLR or compact digital camera.

For digital cameras with permanently attached lens we recommend especially the focal lengths between 25 mm und 40 mm. For classic eyepiece projection, the focal lengths between 9 mm and 20 mm are more appropriate.

Particularly bright image

For successful observations, it is often essential how much light reaches the observer. Especially when watching weak nebulae and galaxies, the light transmission often makes the difference between visible and not visible.

The eyepieces offer a very well balanced transmission. They have no colour cast. Especially in the range where the human eye is very sensitive, the eyepieces also provide maximum brightness. This guarantees maximal successful observations.
