TS-Optics safe Solar Finder for the finder shoe of your telescope Position the sun accurately without danger for your eyes. The finder has no optics. You simply look to the ground glass and as soon as the sun disc is in the middle, you can start with solar observing or photography.
Procedure- Remove the original finder from the finder shoe and attach the Solar Finder instead.
- Mount the front solar filter before the front opening of your telescope or mount the Herschel wedge to its back side.
- Direct the telescope approximately to the direction of the sun. You will already see a small bright disc in the middle of the ground glass. You can view this ground glass from a comfortable distance.
- Center this disc and your telescope already directs exactly to the sun.
The principle The front plate has a small hole which works like the pinhole aperture of a pinhole camera. A small image of the solar disc is produced. This solar disc is projected to the matt screen at the back side - totally without optics and absolutely harmless.
Among others, the Solar Finder fits to: - All telescopes with a standard finder shoe
- Skywatcher telescopes
- Celestron telescopes
- Telescopes from TS-Optics
- Vixen telescopes
- GSO telescopes
