TS Optics Microfocuser and focus lock für camera lenses up to 135 mm diameter The Telefokus system offers precise focusing and fixes the position of maximum sharpness. Unintentional adjustment and therefore unsharp stars are avoided.
Features- Precise adjustment accurate to 1/100 mm
- Reproducible focus position
- Suitable for camera lenses of all manufacturers
- Can also be used with telescopes with helical focuser
Focusing The autofocus does not work when taking images of the stars, so the lens has to be focused manually. A minimal displacement, almost just a slight touch is sufficient for turning a sharp star into an unsharp disk.
The Telefokus system solves this problem in a simple and effective way. A complete rotation of the thumbscrew rotates the knurled ring of the camera lens by 1 millimeter. If you turn the thumbscrew by 5°, the ring of the camera lens is rotated by only 0.013mm! You cannot focus thus accurate without this utility. Then you lock the position with the locking screw and have, even after a longer exposure time, the guarantee that the focus is 100% kept.
Attaching to the camera lens- Attach the aluminum ring with the central bar to the rear part of the camera lens. The bar has to point to the front.
- Attach the aluminum ring with the two thumbscrews to the front part of the camera lens which is turned for focusing. The central bar should be placed in the middle between the two thumbscrews.
- Ready! Now you can focus precisely, using the two thumbscrews and the central bar, and also lock the position, through simple tightening the locking screw.
- Autofocus camera lenses have to be set to "manually".
