TS Optics Finder Base with 1/4" photo thread and counter bore hole With this findershoe you can attach your finder bracket to a flat support area like the square mirror box of a Dobsonian or the flat bearing surface of a tube ring. The finder shoe has a long hole which is suitable for flat head screws up to M6 and 1/4". We recommend flat head srews, as other screws would protrude and make correct mounting of the finder more difficult. The diameter of the countersunk hole is roughly 12 mm.
Additionally the finder shoe has two 1/4" photo threads (female). With them, you can attach the finder shoe to a photo tripod or to a piggyback camera holder. That allows a more versatile usage. Now you can easily adapt a small guide scope to your telescope without rebuilding the finder.
