TS-Optics Adapter with T2 female thread and M28 female thread (1.25" filter thread)
Special low-profile solution for connecting eyepieces with filter thread to T2
Many 1.25" eyepieces have an M28x0.6 (1/4" filter thread) external thread when the silver barrel is unscrewed. The T2i-M28i TS adapter, with a length of only 10mm, provides an ultra-low profile connection to the T2 external thread - saving up to 20mm of optical path compared to a classic clamped adaptation using the eyepiece barrel!
{Examples of use:}]The adapter is useful wherever the most rigid and shortest possible adaptation of eyepieces to T2 is required.
- ultra-low profile adaptation of illuminated reticle eyepieces to T2 connection of off-axis guides
- Adaptation of focus adjustment eyepieces to T2 threads - fine adjustment can be made using T2 extension tubes and a T2 locking ring. This allows very good calibration eyepieces to be made for spotting scopes and telephoto lenses.
- Basic search eyepiece adapter for off-axis guiding when using autoguiders
