TS Optics 1.25" variable Polarising Filter for moon and planets
The brightness of the moon and the planets are changing over time. When the moon is only a thin crescent, its brightness usually does not need to be dimmed. But by a half moon the eye is dazzled. This is also the case with planets. Often they are bright enough to make details on their surfaces disappear.
The variable polarising filter is the solution. Gradually adjust the object´s brightness and spot finest details without eye strain.
The object´s color is not changed by the polarising filter and also its sharpness remains fully intact due to the plane parallel anti-glare glas-elements.
Range of application - Moon observation
- Planet observation
- Sun observation (only with a suitable eyepiece solar filter!)
- Daylight observation
Simple handling The filter consists of two linear polarising filters. The bottom filter can be rotated. The dimming effect results from the different alignment of the two filters.
Take out the eyepiece from the focuser, screw the filter in and set the right dimming factor by twisting the filter. The filter does not add additional optical length, which means you will always be able to focus.
