TS-Optics RC Telescopes are made for astrophotographers. High-quality images of galaxies and nebulae with perfect stars to the edge without additional correctors are possible. The picture is brighter and more contrasted than, for example, by a Schmidt-Cassegrain with corrector plate. Professionals use RC telescopes and now this telescope system is also at your disposal.
Better and sharper astrophotos without corrector with shorter exposure times. This is exactly what this RC telescope with astro cameras and SLR cameras even with full-frame sensors allows for. As a pure mirror system you can even use the infrared light. You achieve up to 25% shorter exposure times and sharper images than, for example, a comparable Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. With a focal length reducer you can increase the aperture ratio.
Spacers for the ideal back focus are included. You do not need extension sleeves, thanks to the spacers, the focuser is always in an optimal position, whether you are observing or photographing.
Even large camera sensors up to full format can be used. Even without a corrector, the field sharpness is already very good. It gets even better with RC correctors.
Configure your RC with the focuser of your choice:
- SLPR3: The affordable 3" Monorail standard focuser. We recommend the focuser for visual observation and for medium photo equipment, such as DSLR cameras. The focuser already provides all the prerequisites, such as micro-reduction and bearing, superior to simple Crayford focusers. We recommend the focuser for accessories up to approx. 4kg
- TSFOCR30S: 3" tooth-wheel drive focuser for heavy accessories. We recommend the focuser to all astrophotographers who use heavier equipment. The adjustment of the draw tube is made by a helical toothed wheel. This enables more accuracy and sensitive adjustment even at maximum load.
The TS RC astrograph are true Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes. Maksutovs and Schmidt-Cassegrains have spherical mirrors and need correctors for making a large field usable. With Schmidt-Cassegrains, you can see the aberrations in the field even when working visually. Most times, Maksutov-Cassegrains are so slow that they are not suitable for astrophotography. RC telescopes have hyperbolical primary and secondary mirrors. They are more difficult to manufacture, but offer a significantly sharper field with less aberrations throughout the field.
Characteristics:
- Hyperbolic primary and secondary mirror for a large fully illuminated field of view.
- Astrophotography with camera sensors up to 30mm diameter possible without corrector. For larger sensors, like full-frame size, Teleskop-Service offers ready-to-use corrector solutions.
- 94% dielectric high-reflectivy coating on main and secondary mirror for an even brighter image.
- Long back focus for correctors, reducers and also binoviewers.
Delivery:
- TS 10" f/8 RC Astrograph - with steel tube
- Losmandy Level prism rails on both sides
- M117x1 extension sleeves
