The secondary mirror holder is made of aluminum and allows for mounting the secondary mirror at the exact angle of 45°. The holder is suitable for secondary mirrors with 50 mm diameter (minor axis).
Practical tip from Teleskop-Service:
For mounting the secondary mirror on the support surface, we recommend silicone, as this has proven successful for self-building telescopes. But a good double-sided adhesive tape also works. Before mounting, the surface has to be cleaned and, above all, grease has to be removed. Slight roughening of the surface with sandpaper or a metal file improves the adhesion significantly.
