TS Optics 1.25" Filterset - 6 filters for telescopes from 150 mm aperture Five color and one neutral grey filter. They can be combined with each other. With this set of six high quality TS filters, one can improve the observation quality on Moon and Planets. Even at double stars, improvements are possible. The filters can be used for both visual observation and photography.
The neutral grey filter reduces e.g. the glare of the moon (if used alone) and can enhance the effect of the other filters if combined with them.
This set is recommended for 6" telescopes and larger. All filters are made from optical glass substrate, have a metal mount with threads on both sides.
Our set includes the following filters:
- Yellow / Green #11
Well suited for observations of Jupiter and Saturn. Reveals atmospheric structures even in small aperture telescopes.
- Orange #21
Enhances contrast in daytime and twilight observations (Venus, Mercury) by suppressing the blue light. Reveals details on Mars (in larger aperture telescopes). Further details in Jupiter's and Saturn's atmosphere are revealed. You may try spotting atmospheric structures on Uranus with large aperture telescopes.
- Red #25
For very high contrast on the Moon, suitable for small aperture telescopes. This filter is used when observing the polar ice caps on Mars. Well suited for Venus by blocking the blue daylight. The sky appears black.
- Violet #47
Well-suited for observing Venus in telescopes of 150mm aperture or larger. It makes visible the dark clouds in Venus' atmosphere. Boosts structures in Saturn's rings. You may also use this filter on Mercury under good seeing conditions in large telescopes.
- Dark Green #58A
An important universal contrast filter. Drastically boosts contrast on the Moon - better contrast even far off the terminator. Suitable for low magnifications. This filter is especially effective on Jupiter, revealing the famous Great Red Spot and other reddish details in the Jovian atmosphere. White spots in Saturn's atmosphere are enhanced in telescopes of 200mm aperture or larger.
- Neutral Density ND09
Neutral density without color effect with 13% transmission. For reducing glare at lunar observations or in combination with a solar filter at solar observations.
Quality features of the TS Optics Colour Filters
- the filter housing is made of metal and as thin as possible to avoid vignetting.
- the glass used in our filters is very homogenous, polished, and parallel
- anti reflective coating
- very good image quality!
- filter threads on both sides allow you to combine different filters
Delivery contents- 5 colour filters each in a plastic storage case
- 1 neutral density filter in a plastic storage case
