Tecnosky 2" precision rack-and-pinion focuser, suitable for heavy loads without flexing. 35mm excursion version
It is a focuser made entirely with CNC machines and movements on sealed ball bearings: unlike other focusers that have only 4 bearings supporting the load, ours has the drawtube encased in no less than 8 bearings that move inside a grooved guide.
In this way, even when fully extended, it does not have the slightest play or flex, a fundamental feature for modern deepsky photography!
The movement is given by a bronze rack with fine, transverse teeth, the pinion is supported by two high load bearings and finely adjusted on the rack.
Two large knurled knobs operate the focuser movement and a third smaller one the 1:10 micrometric movement. The bronze knob below the focuser increases the pressure between the pinion and rack while the other on the side serves to lock the focuser axis.
The 2" mount has a brass ring and 3 knobs for fixing, and there is also an M63x1 thread for directly connecting an optical accessory or camera.
Towards the telescope the focuser has a conical mount with a diameter of 77.9mm and is immediately compatible with the mounts of GSO 2" newton focusers.
Flanges are available to connect it to GSO RCs, Skywatcher refractors, SCT tubes and more
