Starway Side-by-Side Mounting Plate / Duomount - Losmandy Level and GP Level For mounting two telescopes on one mount side by side The Starway side-by-side mounting plate allows you to mount two instruments on one telescope mount. On one side telescopes with Losmandy Level dovetail and on the other side the smaller Vixen / EQ Level dovetails.
The advantages of the dual mount- shorter lever arms and consequently a lower total load for the mount
- Distance between the two saddle plates (center to center): 300mm
- more sturdy mounting that is not limited by the stiffness of the telescope tube or the tube rings
- more versatile
- perfect balancing of the total load on the mount is possible
The plate fits to all mounts with Losmandy-style quick release plate, e.g.:
- Losmandy Mounts G11, GM8
- Celestron CGEM and CGE Pro
- Skywatcher N-EQ6 and EQ7
