Maksutov Cassegrain 90/1250 EQ-1

The Skymax 90 Maksutov Mirror Telescope is a very compact telescope for terrestrial and sky Observing. In combination with the EQ-1 Table Top Mount it´s a really compact combination which offers much fun with observing.

Optic and Tube

Free aperture 90 mm, focal length 1250 mm, light gathering power 170x against naked eye, resolution 1.28". This Maksutov has a really sharp optic and a brilliant and colorfree image. The tube is very sturdy. The focus will be adjusted via a Main Mirror Focuser.

EQ-1 Mount

The small equatorial mount EQ-1 is sturdy enough, to carry the telescope vibration free. With the fine adjustments in RA and DEC it is possible to track the objects and with the setting circles and coordinates you can find difficult objects easily and fast. With the polar height and azimuth adjustment you can align the mount exactly to the north pole. The telescope will be fitted with only one screw at the mount, so you do not need any tools.

The Observation

With the Skymax 90 you can observe many details on the moon like crater, mountain ranges or grooves and on the planet Venus you can see the phases like crescent Venus or half Venus. On Jupiter you can observe the cloud bands and the 4 largest moons, at Saturn you will see the rings. Milky Way will show thousands of stars, double stars and Open and Globular Star Clusters. Also this telescope shows many Planetary Nebulae and Emission Nebulae like  the Orion Nebula, and you can observe the brightest Galaxies.
But also for terrestrial observations this Skymax is a perfect solution. Regardless of whether you will watch landscapes or animals, this telescope will show you a very sharp and brilliant image.

Photography

With optional T2 Adapter Rings you can adapt all DSLR Cameras. Thus you can photograph the moon or sun (Attention: only with a safe Solar Filter). With full format DSLR cameras vignetting will occur, therefor for these cameras the larger 102 mm and 127 mm models are better.
With an optional eyepiece projection adapter you can also photograph smaller objects like planets. For photography you need an optional motor set.
