180 mm (7") f/2700 computerised GoTo Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope


The Black Line Maksutov 180/2700 mm is the biggest model of the Skywatcher Maksutov range. With this system, the manufacturer has designed a specialist for lunar / planetary observation and photography also.

Fields of use

With its focal length of 2700 mm, this system is ideal for lunar and planetary observation. Even eyepieces with longer focal length (and therefor often more comfortable viewing position) lead to relatively high magnification.

A wider field with 2"

Especially for deep sky observation, 2" eyepieces are very useful, especially with this focal length. You have a wider field making this telescope also useful for Nebulae and Galaxies. This telescopes comes with a 2" eyepiece receptacle.

Photography

The Skymax 180 has a direct SC connection. Together with a web cam and a 2x Barlow lens, this telescope is ideal for planetary imaging, only limited by physical laws.

As a telephoto lens, you have a tack-sharp f/15 system with 2700 mm focal length.

EQ5 Pro Synscan Mount

This is the smalles mount which we offer with this telescope. But you can also get it with the sturdier mounts like the EQ6.
