Astrophotography

The new Skywatcher Explorer 130PDS offers two essential advantages for astrophotography. A 2" Crayford-Focuser with 1:10 dual speed transmission and enough back focus for nearly every camera on the market. Of course the system has a high quality parabolic main mirror. It is a perfect transportable astrophoto telescope.

The Explorer 130PDS advantages
  • high quality parabolic optic for sharp and contrasty imaging / observation
  • 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro focusing - ideal for astrophotography
  • large backfocus for nearly every camera
  • solid metal tube
  • very compact - also for smaller mounts

The 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro focusing

The new 2" Crayford focuser offers precise focusing ability for tack-sharp astrophotos. The mechanical stiffness is very good. Even cameras with 2 kg of weight are held solidly. A 1 1/4" reducer is included.
