Skywatcher has developed with the new skyliner series an advancement of Dobsonian engineering. It is possible to push the whole tube together. Therefore the Dobsonian becomes ultracompact for transport and also for storage. When you receive your observation point you only have to extend the tube and in a very short time you have a complete telescope ready to use.

This is the biggest Dobsonian of Skywatcher and of course the biggest transportable dobsonian in our opinion. It´s possible to carry and assemble this telescope with one person only. At the nightsky 16" offers you new dimensions. Nebulae and galaxies show uncountable details.

The adjustment of the SKFXD16 is very easy. The horizontal and vertical adjustment happens through bush bearings. At every position the optics stay at their place. You only have to move the telescope, leave it and you are able to observe. The adjustment of the altitude friction took place through a so called "Tension Control". So you are able to adjust the clearance of the adjustment of altitude and also to lock the telescope.
