Zoom eyepieces are a comfortable alternative to using a number of separate fixed magnification eyepieces. Unfortunately most simple zoom eyepieces offer an image quality that is not on the same high level compared with good fixed eyepieces. This has earned zoom eyepieces in general a bad reputation.

Useful magnification range
The XF zoom eyepiece covers the most frequently needed magnifications on most telescopes. The shortest focal length is 6.5mm, which is shorter than most other zooms and therefore offers a larger magnification.

Ideal for Binoviewers
Some high quality zoom eyepieces are so large in diameter that they cannot be used on binoviewers. Most simple zoom eyepieces do not have fixed magnification steps. The XF zoom is ideal for use on binoviewers.
