Altair Premium Positive-Lock Diagonal - Dielectric 2 inch Pushfit The Altair 2" premium diagonal with positive-lock system grips 2" accessories tightly with a small rotation of the top knurled ring, keeping them precisely centred. The CNC machined chassis will hold extra heavy accessories without flexing, and the mirror features a premium 99% reflective dielectric-coating. Ideal for refractors and large eyepieces or binoviewers, the positive-lock has a very light action and only needs a small 20 degree rotation, letting you quickly replace accessories. There's no need to apply excessive force on thumbscrews or normal twist-lock mechanisms to insert accessories. Once you've tried it, you won't want to use any other diagonal again, it's that easy. Other features: Includes a 2" to 1.25" adapter with compression ring for smaller eyepieces. Connection adapter for the Rowan AZ100 mount and the EQ5 tripod. Also suitable for other platforms. This adaptor bolts diectly to the base of the AZ100. The AZ100 will then fit EQ5 or HEQ5 tripod heads using a M10 bolt. Ideal for travelling with small / lighter scopes that don't require a large tripod. Alternatively this adaptor allows fitting the AZ100 directly to a pier surface with out the need to access from below. The pier top will require 4 x M8 tapped holes on 90.0mm circle. The 82° Series eyepieces come with a twist-up rubber eye-guard that raise to the desired height for the comfort of the observer, and as experienced astronomers know, eye comfort is critical when trying to observe at the visual limits of the telescope. To keep internal reflections to a minimum, all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel are flat black, as well as the edges of the lenses themselves to minimize the scattering of light within the lenses themselves. All 82° Series eyepieces are fully multi-coated and edge-blackened to produce maximum contrast.
