The Evostar 150ED is the classic apochromatic refractor with 6" aperture and f/8 ratio. Years ago it was quite expensive, but now you get top optics with an excellent price-performance ratio. Apochromatic refractors produce the sharpest and highest quality images of all telescope systems thanks to their vignetting-free optics with high color correction. The Skywatcher high-end Evostar 150ED apo refractor contains a doublet lens with a component made of particularly low-refractive ED glass as well as a matching crown glass element.

Each glass-air surface of the optics was provided with a special, metallic anti-reflection coating in order to achieve a high, maximum light transmission of 99.5%! The pioneering Skywatcher "Metallic High-Transmission Coating" (MHC) is the highest quality optical lens coating in its class.

An 0.85x reducer / corrector, matched to the telescope, is available as a special accessory.
