Product description

Dew-Not Controller for up to four Dew Heaters

The DNController2 controller is a dual channel controller based on PWM (pulse width modulation) technology. Each channel controls two outputs for a total of four outputs. Each channel is capable of a duty cycle from 5% on time (effectively off) to 95% on time at the high setting. Best results are normally achieved with an initial setting between medium and high.

This controller is manufactured for operation on 12 volts DC and should never be operated with any other voltage. Total amperage capacity for all four outputs is 6 amps. The controller is supplied with a six foot cord equipped with a cigarette lighter plug end. A 6 amp fuse is incorporated into the plug to access the fuse, turn the knurled knob on the plug counter clockwise.

The Dew Not controller fits to both Dew Not and Kendrick heating systems, but other heaters with RCA plugs, 12 V voltage rating and suitable maximum current should work, too.

Technical specifications:

  • Microprocessor based dual channel controller
  • UL 94V0 enclosure
  • Zero to 100% output control per channel.
  • Two outputs per channel (may be increased using DNS splitter, sold separately)
  • 6 amp capacity
  • 6 foot power cord fused @ 6 amps
  • Virtually RFI free
  • Operating voltage is 12 volts.

    Two stage low battery indicator:
If voltage drops to 11 volts the power led begins slow blinking as a low voltage warning.
If the battery voltage drops to 10.5 volts the power led starts fast blinking and the outputs turn off. When the voltage recovers to over 12 volts it will start operating again
The 10.5 volt threshold is to prevent permanent damage to battery packs.
