StarSense technology was innovated by Celestron’s engineers, allowing a Celestron computerized telescope to automatically align itself with the night sky. Alignment has never been easier, the inconvenient locating of reference stars can be omitted! This technology was introduced with the SkyProdigy mounts first and has received much attention from owners of other telescopes; a short time later it could be retrofitted for all modern Celestron mounts with NexStar control by adding the StarSense module.
In order to make this luxury available to owners of mounts with more simple controls, Celestron has made StarSense and the integrated plate solver technology even more versatile. With the new interface box, you can replace the SynScan control from Sky-Watcher telescopes by the Celestron StarSense control and get the easy operation of Celestron without buying a new mount.
With this interface box, StarSense can be used also with Sky-Watcher telescopes, further expanding the number of scopes that can take advantage of this technology!
How it works: StarSense camera and hand control both plug into the Interface Box and the Interface Box plugs into the mount’s hand control port. In minutes your SkyWatcher mount is aligned and you are off to the stars.
