Weighing only 2 kg, the Sky-Watcher AZ-GTiX mount head can be mounted on all tripods with the standard 3/8" photo thread.

The easily transportable azimuthal Sky-Watcher AZ-GTiX Dual Saddle mount has a built-in WLAN module to control it wirelessly with a smartphone or tablet using the free SynScan app for iOS or Android. It is designed to hold 2 telescopes, binoculars or even cameras simultaneously.

The AZ-GTiX creates its own Wi-Fi network, so the mount can be used anywhere without needing a third-party Wi-Fi network. After entering your coordinates into the app and performing a simple "alignment procedure", you are ready to explore the universe using the app's simple touchscreen menus. The AZ-GTiX in conjunction with the SynScan app provides a fully computerized GoTo mount and allows you to automatically point your telescope at any of the over 10,000 celestial objects included in the app database.

Thanks to Sky-Watcher's proprietary "Freedom-Find™" technology, you can also manually slew the telescope in either axis at any time without losing position data. This gives you tremendous freedom and makes observing sessions flexible and convenient.

The mount runs very quietly and allows a payload of up to 6 kg on one side or up to 10 kg on both sides. It accepts the standard 45mm Vixen-style prism rails. An L-mount with an additional saddle plate and a 61mm extension column are included.
