ATIK Infinity B/W CCD Camera:
The Infinity is the first CCD camera from Atik with a revolutionary technology. Astrophotography for all amateur astronomers, without image editing for hours or expensive image editing software, that is the promise of the ATIK infinity. For this, almost every instrument, from beginner´s telescope with simple tracking to an alt-azimuth GoTo system, can be used.
Deep-sky photography as experience for everyone - with almost no effort!
The new, easy-to-use software automatically adds the images together. Tracking errors or image rotation are automatically removed. Experience LIVE at the monitor of your computer when a nebula or galaxie becomes steadily brighter and more and more details are revealed.
♦ The exposure time can be freely chosen.
♦ Contrast, brightness and many other parameters can be changed manually.
♦ LIVE viewing at the monitor (ideal for demonstrations)
♦ Live YouTube broadcast integration
♦ FITs, PNG and JPG can be chosen for saving
More important features:
♦ Best results through SONX ICX825 sensor
♦ Live continuous stacking
♦ Flexible histogram control, including auto-stretch functions
♦ Interactive session replay
♦ Focus assist and monitoring tools
♦ Single frames can be handled manually, including flats and darks
♦ If using FITs format, sensor temperature can be read from the file header
♦ Plug-ins for Astroart and Maxim DL
♦ A filter wheel cannot be controlled, though.
Astrophotography with all telescopes - only requirement is tracking! ... Even with a beginner´s telescope with simple tracking without guiding, astrophotography becomes possible now. Set the exposure time (up to 120 seconds) simply to a value which results in stars that are still round. Now leave the camera recording and watch the nebula becoming more and more glorious.
Astrophotography with alt-azimuth GoTo telescopes! ... Almost not to realise until now, as the stars at the edge become distorted after a few seconds exposure, it is not a problem with the ATIk Infinity. The exposure times should be set between 10 and 40 seconds, and beautiful images of the sky emerge.
Guiding is not necessary anymore with the ATIK Infinity! ... Simply let the mount track. The better is tracks, the longer the exposure can be.
The results are impressive! ... Even "out of the box", the images are worth seeing - simply save and show - or enjoy live on the monitor. The software allows easy image editing which can be done even by unexperienced amateur astronomers after a few minutes. Nevertheless, these exposures are a full-fledged base for all astrophotographers who want to bring out "just a bit more" from the photographs by selected image processing and hours of work.

VIDEO astronomy
Most astronomical video cameras use rather simple sensors - but not the ATIK INFINITY. The high-quality SONY sensor offers best reults and high resolution. With this, impressive astro videos become possible - ideal for public observatories, but also for the whole family.
Impress friends and relatives with a flight over the moon´s surface or a video journey to the planets of our solar system - produced by you. Or use the video material as base for high-resolution planetary images.
Autoguiding:
The potential of the ATIK INFINITY are, as the name already says, almost unlimited. Of course, the ulra-lightwight camera can be used as autoguider, too. For example if you want to take a wide-field exposure with your DSLR camera. The camera has a standard level ST-4 port, and thanks to the highly sensitve Sony sensor, you will never have a lack of guide stars.
