Level your smart telescope in less than a minute

If you own a Seestar S50 or other smart telescope, you know that the more level the telescope is, the better the tracking accuracy. It can be tedious to accurately level a smart telescope by adjusting the tripod legs, and it can be nerve-wracking trying to get the levelling perfect. The tripod levelling base takes away this frustration and makes levelling your Seestar S50 a breeze. You can fine-tune the knobs until your smart telescope is perfectly levelled, giving you accurate tracking (and great images) all night long!

How to use the tripod levelling base

Step 1: Screw the bottom of the levelling base to the top of your tripod. The base has a standard 3/8’ tripod thread that can be connected to the tripod of your smart telescope or any standard photo tripod. Then thread the bottom of your smart telescope onto the top thread of the levelling base.

Step 2: Now loosen the locking knobs (the smaller knurled knobs) by turning them anti-clockwise.

Step 3: Use the levelling function of the Seestar app (or the 3 built-in levelling bubbles on the base if you are using a different smart telescope) and move the adjustment knobs up or down until the base is levelled.

Step 4: Tighten the locking knobs again so that they are flush with the larger levelling knobs. Your smart telescope is now perfectly levelled!
