UHC-E filter for 1,25'' The Astronomik UHC filter is one of the best we know for visual observing. It reliable blocks the artifical light of our towns but the important wavelengths O-III and H-Beta passes nearly to 100%. Additional you will have an important window at H-Alpha. Many nebulas shines in H-Alpha.
Which objects can be observed:The filter allows the contrasty observing of gas nebulas and planetary nebulas with very high contrast.
With which telescopes the filter can be used:Thanks of the high transmission also smaller telescopes from 80mm onwards can be used. The filter is optimized for focal ratios between 1:4 and 1:20.
Differences beetween Astronomik UHC and UHC-E:
The low cost UHC-E is an interesting alternate for the beginner, which wants the high contrast of the nebula filter but wants to safe money.
The UHC-E is a little more broadband than the normal UHC and the light transmission isn´t so strong. So at telescopes over 15 cm aperture the contrast is a little bit lower, but for smaller telescopes the effect will be the same.
By the somewhat moderate curves the manufacturing is a bit cheaper, so the price will be lower.
