Astronomik IR-Cut Filter 1,25'' - for CCD Photography
Unlike the human eye the CCD camera sensor is sensitive for infrared. Refractors and other lens systems normaly aren´t well corrected for this wavelengths so the result are unsharp images from moon and planets. Also you will see an unlovely halo around brighter stars in your images.
You can avoid this with the IR-cut filter. It cuts these wavelengths with an extremely steep edge at 675nm and blocks wavelength up to 1200nm and higher. In this viewable wavelength range the filter provides a transmission of more than 97%
