Astronomik CLS filter 2"

The Astronomik CLS offers much value at the visual observing and also photography with small telescopes of nebulas, galaxies and star clusters, for the money. The effect is similar to the UHC, but this filters is much brighter and so you can use it with aperture from 60 mm onwards.

This filter blocks the artifical light nearly total but the important emission lines passes close to 100 %. It´s a broadband filter.

This filter enables you to contrasty observations of gas nebulas and planetary nebulas.

Which telescope can be used with this filter:

We recommend this CLS filter for all telescopes, but it works best with small apertures. Also this filter is perfect for observing and photography.

The Astronomik CLS at photographical use:

The CLS is not only perfect for the visual observing, you can also use it for the photography. The advantage is the background will stay relatively neutral in color. You can get 3 times longer exposure times at same luminance of background, so the contrast will be much higher.
