APM- Super Zoom Eyepiece 4 mm to 8.1 mm with 1.25" connector

Our APM Super Zoom eyepiece is a modern new development for universal use in the day and night sky. Great emphasis was put on excellent optical and mechanical quality as well as optimized ergonomics. The completely recalculated optics show excellent resolution and contrast values as well as a sharp-edged image with a large apparent field of view.

The conical eye shape, the slim body, the high interpupillary distance and the integrated thread for the Tele Vue Dioptrix , make this APM Super Zoom the ideal zoom eyepiece for binocular observation.

Almost no refocusing is required when changing magnification. You can now zoom in on your favorite objects without losing image quality. The wide focal length range allows the use on very many instruments, whether on a compact Apo or on a Dobsonian.

For short focal length optics, the APM2.7x Barlow lens can be screwed into the eyepiece. In this position the APM barlow lens has a magnification factor of 1.89 x This changes the focal length of the zoom eyepiece to 4mm to 8.1mm without visible loss of quality.

All optical components are of course modern multi-coated, blackened lens edges go without saying. The pupil distance (eye relief) is between 18 and 20mm, so it is very user-friendly. The maximum Ø of 56mm also allows the use on a binocular attachment.

Our APM Super-Zoom eyepiece is an optical top product at an excellent price, which does not have to hide behind much more expensive zoom eyepieces!

Note:
The APM Super Zoom (without Barlow Lense) cannot be focused in APM binoculars with interchangeable eyepieces. However, it will work in conjunction with the APM 2.7x Barlow lens. An exception is the APM 150mm binocular. Here the APM zoom eyepiece also works without the Barlow element.
The magnification with 2.7x barlow element is 1.9x.

With the M43 extension tube, the astigmatic correctors from Televue (Dioptrx) can also be attached to the Super Zoom (see accessories).

Tip: The Super Zoom eyepiece also works great with the TMB 1.25" ED Barlowe element 1.8x, which would then have a magnification factor of 1.52, i.e. the zoom eyepiece then becomes a 5mm bix 10mm zoom eyepiece.
