Massimo Riccardi, well-known optical designer from Italy, has calculated a high-quality 3-lens 0.75x reducer / flattener for APM-LZOS apochromatic telescopes, which is also suitable for many apos from other manufacturers. The reducer reduces the focal length by a quarter and corrects the image field. Use it to transform your telescope into a fast astrograph! The connection to the telescope and the camera is made via an M63 x 1 thread. We can also offer an adjustment flange for precise adjustment if the reducer / flattener is tilted.
The back focus is adjusted depending on the telescope used. The exact value for your scope can be found in the PDF documents below. The total optical length of the reducer + back focus + focus shift is between 160mm and 180mm. For focusers with a free aperture of 68mm, the reducer can also be countersunk into the focuser with an adapter. The correction is designed up to full format and is also suitable for the widely used Kodak KAF 8300 sensor.
The necessary adapters for your telescope and your camera can be found in the PDF graphic below (RiccardiAdaption.pdf).
