APM - LZOS Apo 228/2050 CNC - LW II
Our 9 inch, 228/2050mm system takes the lead in the size of apochromatic objectives manufactured worldwide.
Of course, this optic is also manufactured to the highest quality standards: carefully polished and interferometrically tested, optimally broadband multicoated. The effort required to mount the titanium lens system is not insignificant. Here we rely on the decades of experience and expertise of LZOS, which has manufactured practically all Russian space optics. LZOS conducts its own glass research/development and also produces these glasses itself. This results in perfect control of every stage of development. APM has been a partner for civil optics for decades and can actively participate in the development of the optics, which helps to optimize and adapt them to the needs of professional and amateur astronomers.

Once the instrument is properly installed in the observatory, you can look forward to unforgettable observations! With this aperture, groups of galaxies, fainter globular clusters and close double stars are visually possible. With excellent color correction, you will even be able to identify different color components in the double and multiple stars. Of course, this optic is made for planetary and solar observing: Wander along the terminator of the moon and resolve finest details and craters at air-quiet! Saturn shows the ring divisions clearly and on Jupiter you can follow the migration of the different colored storm systems. The contrast performance is significantly increased compared to mirror systems and achromats. Due to the exact imaging of these refractors, our Apos are also excellently suited for research purposes! For those who want to work photographically, our reducers and fieldflatteners by Massimo Riccardi are available!
In addition to the large 3.5" FeatherTouch focuser, all important reducer adapters, sleeves as well as the viewfinder holder are already integrated to conveniently connect photographic as well as visual accessories. Multicompatible tube clamps are standard, a sturdy transport case is optionally available. We coordinate the primary data as well as optional components closely with you!
