The APM fork mount is the result of intensive practical application. The optimal, soft tracking movements, simultaneous low vibration and high load capacity are unsurpassed.
Due to the special fork shape, the APM fork mount enables free movement up to the zenith. This makes it perfect for both astronomy and nature observations. In this variant, the AMT encoders (for Nexus DSC) are mounted on both sides. The Nexus Controller is optionally available. Objects can be slewed and found directly using Planetarium software (smartphone, pad, etc.).
The base bearing is designed as a dry bearing so, the fork can be easily pulled up. It weighs only 6.0kg incl. the mounted encoders, without the pivot bearing. In addition, the base can easily be mounted on a tripod.
The inner distance between the fork arms is 28cm on the inside and approx. 36cm on the outside. This fork mount is suitable for our Giant binoculars with 100mm and 120mm aperture as well as the 28x110mm Giant binoculars.
