Altair Astro 2" luminance UV/IR block filter with anti-reflection coating The Altair Astro Premium 2" CLS-CCD Filter is filter is used for general imaging to capture the luminance channel, with mono or colour cameras to eliminate softness in the image caused by unfocused ultraviolet or infrared light (star-bloat).
Other applications include Solar viewing and imaging with the DayStar Quark. Reduce softness in images for microscopy applications, especially with LED and Halogen light caused by stray un-focussed ultraviolet and infrared light.
