The Acuter Solarus-80 is an 80mm solar telescope with a secure, fixed glass white light solar filter. It can be useful for a variety of white light solar observing applications, including observing sunspots, solar eclipses, solar surface detail and the transit of inner planets in front of the sun.
The Acuter Solarus-80 has a built-in filter wheel, complete with pre-installed filters, so that the sun can be viewed in different colours.
It comes with a universal smartphone camera adapter (mobile phone not included) so you can use your smartphone to take photos and record your observations.
The Acuter Solarus-80 complies with the ISO 12312-2:2015 guideline (filter for direct observation of the sun).

Acuter's clever and automatic sun tracker mount is extremely user-friendly and makes observing the sun with a solar telescope particularly safe by automatically finding and tracking the sun.
Just set up the tripod reasonably straight and point the solar telescope somewhere to the left of the sun and the Acuter sun tracker will do the rest automatically! By pressing just one button, the telescope is levelled and the mount uses the GPS data to calculate the altitude and azimuth of the sun, based on local time and location. The telescope is then moved to the required height and the mount begins to search for the sun in a clockwise direction. The sun sensor tracks the sun and ensures that it remains in the field of view of the eyepiece at all times.
The Acuter sun tracker mount can be used by educational institutions, beginners and experienced observers alike. When you have your telescope attached to the mount, this mount is a great aid for observing sunspots, solar eclipses, surface details on the sun and transits of the inner planets in front of the sun.
The lightweight and portable sun tracker mount is quiet and has a payload capacity of up to 4kg. Telescopes with a standard Skywatcher / Vixen dovetail bar can be attached.
CAUTION: The Acuter Sun Tracker mount is designed for use with solar telescopes only. Do not point any other optical device at the sun. Viewing the sun without a secure, professionally manufactured solar filter will cause immediate, permanent damage to your eyes and telescope and also poses a fire risk
