With these risers, you raise your entire telescope by 65mm above the dovetail bar, which allows full rotation of the focuser and allows the telescope to balance properly. Risers also prevent off-axis guiders and filter wheels from pressing against the ground when the telescope is not in use.

Raising the riser extends the usable time far beyond the meridian flip, in some cases completely eliminating it. In the case of short optics, the meridian flip is completely eliminated, which means that the entire night can be exposed without a meridian flip.

To mount the risers, insert the screws through the riser blocks and then screw them to your tube clamps and prism rail.

Warning on screw length:

Some tube clamps have threaded holes that go all the way through the ring. If you use a screw that is too long, the telescopic tube may be damaged. Therefore, measure the length before use. Insert the screw through the rail and the riser block and measure the length of the screw coming out of the top of the riser block. In most cases, the screws supplied fit the most common pipe clamps on the market.
